A SET OF CONTRADICTIONS
Hot day, cold voices.
Cool skin, deep set longing.
Brave steps,
Rough unmolded stones.
Harmony where is your desire;
Pain your surcease?
Yin do you contradict yang;
What of sunset and moonrise?
Death and Life;
Your boundaries you clearly defined.
Feather light,
And apple sweet.

Beautiful, and even mystical in its acceptance of the questions we fling out into the universe! I think we might not want the answers.

Gillena, the photo that you selected, helps to advance the poem's message. The bridge's suicide barriers look like the ribs of a long dead animal, while blocking others from seeking it.
