POUI BLOOMING
In stable thirst of dry days you stood,
Stately green, quietly patient as you could ;
While gaily flew kites on windy sky,
There you, showing only green without a sigh;
Like monks stoic, in zen understanding;
Who would deem, your elation pending;
Ah, but gentle tears of heaven alone know,
How easily, such caring, would make you glow;
So lent her thus, gently, to soft drizzling night,
And you, to daylight blooming, awesome sight.

  1. Oh, yes, you take me there, from the dry "Like monks stoic, in zen understanding" to the "awesome sight." Wonderful!
