SO MUCH
so much depends
upon
the weight of wheels
whether
the track of heavy tanks
roll in
potatoes for pie or
bombs showering prayer wishes
to a God
seated higher than
the universe

  2. Oh, goodness. This carries such weight. (As, in my opinion, does WCW's original poem.)
    Well done.

You brought the reality of the situation to the fore, Gillena. There is so much unfairness today and no one wants to say it!

  10. This potato pie made me think of one of my fav books...."The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" and if there must be bombs let them always be showering prayers. Beautiful thought that

  13. Too many times it's been the bombs, right? A strong poem, Gillena, so unexpected--it will stay with me.
