The yellow fog that rubs its back upon the window-panes, shed tears so much so, that leaves tremble under its weight, and loosen into the streets flooding areas
It is the lash of a season of hurricanes, even though the punishment is not meted out evenly

The yellow fog as a harbinger of a hurricane to come... I like it, but hope you stay safe in the hurricane season.

I love that kind of weather, Gillena, and enjoyed your Prosery piece. This phrase is very effective: ‘the lash of a season of hurricanes’.

Weather does like to keep us on our toes, doesn't it. You describe its fickle nature well.

I really love the easy nature of this story which belies the weather itself! Jae

We hardly have hurricanes in Britain though more tornadoes than you might imagine but the fickleness of the weather is very real, Gillena...
