Friends Debate Over...
So, do you want to?
I will let you have it, no problem,
The old fashioned clock on the wall stayed silent.
Should we do - rock paper scissors - then?
Oh please; say something! not with your eyes.
My coffee is cold, i shold not have sipped it.
I should have drank it more quickly.
Oh go on, you eat it!
The last cupcake is rightfully yours.
After all it is your birthday.

It made me laugh to think "the clock stayed silent" as if there were a lot it wanted to say, but was too wise to say! As a dialogue between friends "battling" over the last cupcake, I think you nailed it. :)

Alas I know so many silent clocks... and the only talkative ones just keep repeating themselves.

Ha ha... very cute! Perhaps a knife to split that gorgeous cupcake would have solved the issue!
