[Although this mosaic is sunny and bright it is in fact a stormy rainy day here in T&T today]

[Challenge to write a quadrille including the work present ]

❧✿❧

Present tense, stormy rain;

Now blessed and fled;

To somewhere, where the ocean's

Tossing up a fit.

A storm is to be named;

Letter-A,  Letter-B,  Letter-C;

Which shall it be?

It only is the beginning still;

There's lots of time to assign,

Naming letters.

  16. Mrs. Jim's name is Arlene. It was used at least once before.
    We've had the rain, now sending it east. Now we are hot.

  20. I love the way you begin in the present tense with ‘stormy rain’, Gillena, the evocative phrase ‘the ocean's tossing up a fit’, and then the way you casually ponder about the name of the coming storm. It’s clear that you have hurricane experience. I’ve only ever experienced that unusual storm in the UK back in the eighties. Do you know the poem ‘Hurricane Hits England’ by Grace Nichols? One of my favourites by her – I’m a fan of her poetry.
