Out there in land of sleep,
Fantasy awaits some we keep;
Forgetting night's dream
I awake, with a blank mind,
For a day that's kind;
With vast world before me,
It's happening can't you see,
There above us, oh so high,
Clouds mapping sky.

This is Monday WRites 393
You've heard about the Monday Blues
well this is Monday WRites (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).
I like the rhyme scheme, the imagery and, especially, those ‘clouds mapping sky’.

A lovely poem, and I know I'm echoing, but "clouds mapping sky" is such a beautiful ending! 💙

Gillena I think we both had ideas of a brighter morning and clean slate for the day. Nicely done and glad to be twins with you today <3

I like your using the clouds as maps. They change, slowly but change is to be expected. I suppose the early sailors used them like that until their technology could invent the compass and other helps. Your rhymes add also, they worked good for you.
