POUI YELLOWNESS

Sun shines its contentment

Yellow poui trees bloom resplendent

Dotting the mountains

Enlivening Savannahs

Easter bursts in yellow splendor

As trees awaken to surrender

The torture of hot dry days

Witness every reason to amaze

    Looking at this tree reminds me of the forsythia that used to bloom on the back lot at my old house. It was always the first sign of spring. There are no forsythia out where I live now, so I have to depend on the dandelions to tell me. Beautiful tree and a beautiful poem.
