SUNNY AND BRIGHT: a quadrille
Dry season shift; hot bright dry days lace our forehead.
Sweat of time drips in scorching spread.
Celebrating our sunny days lead
To music and dance; happy without dread.
Brittle leaves crunch underfoot instead
Of silence; through the garden.
Admiring flowers yellow or red.

  10. I'd not known of this Day, International Happiness Day. Very appropriate for the first day of spring, a release from the colds is in the offing. (We've had it since the middle of February except for one or two cool ones.
Thanks for the Heads Up on St. Joseph day, the Baptists don't give much paper for the Saints.

  18. there is a palpable thrumming undercurrent beat here in this poem - it's lovely and positive - sings of joy and praise as time shifts, seasons change ... very descriptive imagery brings us right into the heart of it Gillena :D
