I LISTEN

The song birds are quiet,

Rested from their dawn thrilling,

The sky silvery with some tints.


I wake before dawn and

I choose to wait for their songs,

Before getting out of bed.


What would morning be without them?

    Indeed... it's worth waiting for the birdsong... that said I remember when sleeping in a tend this last spring there were a lot of birds before dawn.
