And suddenly,

Waiting is the new punishment,  the new caution and the new reward;

So we wait with distance,

We wait with masks on,

We wait for allowed numbers to leave, to enter a room

We wait, in the queues

We wait, about twenty five minutes after the vaccine, before we can leave

We wait,  in the lockdown

We wait, for The State of Emergency to be lifted

We wait, on those "Hi How Are You's"

We wait, for the May Super moon to bloom tonight

We wait, and We wait, and We wait.

  3. So we do. All those ways. I love how your first line sums it up and then the poem elaborates.

  8. The super moon's eclipse was great, I watched it on TV taken here, one hour, well, 59 minutes. The first majority of your waits, one of the lives saved might have been yours!!! Being old, we had our shots, jabs, in January.

  11. Yes, a lot of waiting. For the first 6 months or so (maybe more, my son would know), I waited in the car while my son did the grocery shopping. Hope your state of emergency lifts soon. I didn't even hear about the moon until too late. Then I read Helen say it was to be a great view from here!

  14. There are some nice things to enjoy while we wait, but focusing on the waiting alone can drive us mad.
