Monday WRites 266

[In Mosaic 1: Leaves of The Caricature Plant and leaves of  Purple Shamrock. They are the same colour all year through since we in T&T do not have a Season of Autumn] and a painting of The Caricature leaves

FASHION ME A NEW NORMAL
Wet blanket, this novel corona. Shut ins, lock downs, distancing, serves us cold turkey.

We mask to ward off viral attacks.
Birthday song our hand washing guide  for children.

Elbows bounce, and hugs must be virtual. What a world this new normal fashions.

  8. One of the only good things about this situation is the sheer quantity of poems written because of it.

It appears to sustain itself for a long time whether a vaccine can make its entry is immaterial. It is for the long haul!

  19. A wet blanket indeed, Gillena. We are already into our second wave and it’s no fun. I can cope with masks and handwashing but miss the hugs and kisses.
Here’s a virtual hug this Tuesday morning!

    Lovely collage of images.

It is way too soon for me to consider Christmas or Christmas music! 😀

  25. Hi Gillena :) Your poem is lovely. Shuts ins...yes, that's how I feel sometimes, like I've become a shut in, but somehow it doesn't bother me too much. A new world...interesting that we are living in it. For so long, I never though my world would ever change, it was the stuff of movies!
