Monday WRites 262

[Mosaic 1 - A painting by my son Khama Cox & some face masks i made last week]

Shh. There's talk of a wave coming,
Should you even care you of the daunting
Refusing to wear your mask
Saying this constraint is such a task
Better that little discomfort
To the choice of going forth
Shh. Are there pigeons in the eaves?

  4. I wish they would make masks mandatory here in the UK. My husband had to remind someone when he was shopping in a supermarket on Saturday. He said the guy had his mask in his pocket! We have been warned of another spike in our area, so I will not be going shopping.

  7. Great use of the prompt, Gillena. I wear mine and I feel safer knowing they are mandatory in supermarkets and other establishments. I cannot believe there are people attacking employees (just trying to make a living) for telling them they can’t come in without a mask, as their job requires. This pandemic is exposing what was previously hidden and wowza...it is pretty appalling. Love the masks and the painting. 🙏

  10. It is amazing the level of invincible ignorance that seems to have blanketed the globe on such a vital issue of how many will live and how many will die. Bless you for making beautiful masks and your son is quite creative!

  11. Here it is mandatory as well. Better mask up, be safe and prevent the spread.

  19. Masks are not mandatory here except on public transportation, so I've not worn a mask so far yet. I think it may be sensible to mandate them in public though, but I'm not sure.
