JOY OF REST - A FOLD
Now today, i shall rest in my words
I will lay there slumbering still
A crumb of laziness, like those birds
Perched on branch of hushed sunlight
Latched there, i shall rest in my words
Breathing silence, inhaling oxymorons
Ignoring the cacaphony of a virus, stirred
Like dandelion seeds on whiffs of normalcy
No way shall i dance to anything i have heard
Simmering in flavours of spicy metaphors
Countenance today: i shall rest in my words.

  11. When we rest in words we put our brain to constructive work instead of round and round worrying about the problems of the world.

  16. I enjoyed your restful fold, Gillena, especially the end rhymes and the idea of ‘inhaling oxymorons’ and ‘simmering in flavours of spicy metaphors’. It is indeed a joy to rest in words.
