TWO SPIDER LILIES
two spider lilies greet my morning footsteps
with smiles as slim as slices of day moon

sincere silence of a kiskadee adds witness
white banded head, beak closed in observance

knowing streaks of gratitude radiate sunbeams
for are not lilies happy of this timely flirt?
