ONE QUEEN BEE IS ENOUGH
That day, that inauspicious day
When the Grinch snatched my crown
I cried like Christmas never was

Did I tell you that green, is, really
Her colour, suits her to a tee

I spread out, after a good shake, my wings;
Sat crossed-legged, and inhaled, then
Summoned my drones: To work! To work!
There's a war to be won

  1. Indeed, one industrious bee is more than enough -- spread those wings, Queen -- keep on flyin' -- Thanks for sharing, Gillena!

  9. For a reason, Gillena, I was laughing towards the middle, "after a good shake, my wings Sat crossed-legged, and inhaled," from there until the ending. I was reminded me of the young lady who sat beside me in the back row of Differential Equations Calculus class. She was barefooted, wore holey cutoffs, had straggley brown hair, and she left her dog at the foot of the building stairs waiting for her to return after class.
    Just like your bee, she wriggled and wiggled until she was settled and then promptly begin studying for her history class. She got an "A" in the calculus class, I got a "C".
