FALLING LILACS
The road curves. There the guys ply their trade, of car wash, while patrons wait on the sidewalk. Sometime, boys play a game of cricket in the road, dodging a passing car or two. On the opposite side, when the time is right, pink blooms from the pomerac tree carpets the sidewalk.

  8. Nice, very nice, Gillena. Makes me remember driving into Juarez, Mexico. While shopping at the market a fellow in uniform would find us a parking place, then wash and 'guard' our car. Also when driving in St. Lucia and entering the village over the mountains on the eastern side of the island, we were stopped by a group of young men in the street. They wanted one of them to be our 'guide'.

  9. Lilacs are one of my favorite harbingers of spring. You've got a great snapshot of a spring afternoon with this one.
