HI
We all do it don't we? The wave
Parting of the elemental particles
Clearing the unseen paths
Shushing the chatter unheard
That's the wave
Then another responds. Hi
Claiming the voice of the shushed
Ones, penetrating the opening
In the curtain just drawn
Channeling a flow of connection
The wave
You and I, I and you
Generating thoughts before words
Find their way across borders
Sparks of electricity rush
In nanoseconds
Moving at the speed of light
The unassuming, simple, wave
Of the hand
It's magic, you know

  3. Indeed, it can be magic! I once saw a serene confident toddler sitting in a stroller giving the regal wave, hand-wrist, side to side......it was glorious.

  5. Nice, Gillena ~~ Somewhere in the second half I detect a flirting session going on. Right?
I had mine tonight at our five-minute-away-from-door-to-door McDonald's. Another one I'll remember for a long time, maybe always. When you get my age that is the thrill of boy/girl for me. Strange girl, i.e. not a family friend. She was nice, friendly, and foreign; short, not skinny, was glad I came in tonight. She remembered my past order habits too.

A friendly wave precedes all that. It is a friendly gesture. One is forgiven if time does not permit to stop for a while.
