IN MY GARDEN
When the bough breaks
Then the blossoms profusely reiterate
A hardiness, a determination a will
Twice more to liven the days of bird’s thrill
Profusion can mimic the heat of dog days
I guess i just can seems what it says
Bright bougainvillea sprays furl again and again
On the parched dry earth awaiting the rain

Bougainvillea has such difficulties to thrive up here.. We used to have one we took in during winter... but it was hard to keep alive... You have a beautiful cadence to your poem...
ReplyDeleteThank you for your appreciation Bjorn

That nursery rhyme with the bough breaking has always disturbed me, but here you show the bougainvillea--even when fallen--ready to grow and thrive. At least that's what I think this says --furling upward despite the dry ground.
ReplyDeleteyou got it correctly Susan
