... most historians contend that jellybeans were first linked with celebrations of Easter in the United States sometime in the 1930s for its egg-like shape. In politics, jelly beans earned fame as Ronald Reagan claimed them as his favorite treat.

HAPPINESS
And, as night stood, cobalt blue,
They now cower'd around a cold moon,
All strident clouds of daytime sun shivering;
Lived by the light, slept in the night;
Happily then, one bright star, sang a lullaby;
Ever these words so sweetly heard,
After, they had supped, on jellybeans

  1. Very cool! I like the full word acrostic and the story element. It's easier to know happiness with some unpleasantness to drop it into. (I wondered who would post the happiness song--which I totally love. Great version. Truth.)

  19. Gillena,

    There is no doubt, that those who are of a sweet-toothed nature, will find a most delightful home, in a tub of jellybeans. I'm sure they all have a liking for at least one of the primary colours!! Flavours are another strand of temptation towards that ultimate happiness...
