[Vintage Santa from google]

RIGHT TIMING

Santa comes

at the stroke of midnight

to eat cookies and drink milk

ho ho ho he laughs

patting his fat tummy

all the children all over the world get toys

because they love him

and he loves them

his timing is precise and exact

like sunrise sunset and solstice

 PEACE FOR EARTH

Let the sparkly Christmas tree;

Busy shoppers at the mall;

All be a delight to me.

Voices of angels heard on high;

Angels atop the Christmas tree;

Sing of God and love.

I will lend ear to mountains in glee;

Be drawn to miracles of manger;

Respond at this majesty;

With longing for reign of peace.

Now, let's bauble every Christmas tree!

A SWEET LITTLE TALE

Wind at the window pane.

Wrapped in cellophane.

Sweet;

With a little heat.

That gives you a hint.

It is a ginger mint.

The little cellophane square;

Leaps into the air.

Out the opened window.

Oh was a show.

Like a butterfly in flight.

A WISH FOR SNOW

Books can open a door which swings;

Letting in longing for winter things.

Wishes are the wings of children;

That transport then though hidden.

If they are lucky enough they know;

They can leave their footprints in the snow.

Those mornings when the rain is hidden in forecast of the night passed; I go outside early to pull up a chair sit in my back yard and watch the daybreak into a splendid today.

I sit in the coolness of the morning in the tender gray, I swim undisturbed. My thought freely connecting with bird songs; caws, whistles, sounds new and old.

Soaking in the aroma of flowers in the crispness of a new day before the butterflies come out to play.

JUMBLE-E JUMBLE-I

That Christmas will be unaffected;

Celebrate your past tokens.

Goodnight my love until we meet;

Out of those crows.

Smell of petrichor;

No! No one wants this.

They are pigeons.

He knew he was fool all the same.

Be, the perfect hue of that moon global.

One more thing, the chrysanthemum, a nice finish.

Wild to wanton it grew;

Midmorning sunshine.

A NICE FINISH - A Cleve Poem

He John,

Made this costume from day one,

With help called in

From his parents whom he could rely on;

Winning was not only

Steady on his mind because of their talents,

But having fun too, he was sure

Yes! winning was in the cards;

That was uppermost if they pitched in.

In his mind too he was the best dancer.

One more thing, the chrysanthemum a nice finish.
