when skies are hanged and oceans drowned, the single secret will still be man-- e e cummings
Here And Over There
How can mist just absorb it all?
Mountain, palm, and aged tree;
Oh silver-lit sky! answer his call,
Say to morning, here i am, before
Deciding to just absorb it all;
There in yond garden, an effort
Of blossoming peeps over a wall,
There 's sure to be delighted
Hearts swooned to watch some fall,
Yin and yang fill empty whole
So how can mist just absorb it all?
