You've heard about the Monday Blues well this is  Monday WRites  (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).
Welcome to Monday WRites # 315: A Happy Monday to all. Be Safe.

Prompt: to use the line
"So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm."
from William Blake’s poem

AGAIN WITH THE COVID PRECAUTIONS
Watch your distance. Mask up. Wash hands. Sanitize. Keep your surfaces at home clean. Wash your fruit and veggies before storing.
Take the vaccines. There are lots to choose from.
This might all sound very boring, but, better a boring one than no life at all.
Stay at home and medicate, if you feel sick. Don't mix in public.
So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm.

TEMPLE OF HEALING
We wander through hot desserts of sands gold,
No one dares turn dust into loaves of bread,
Picking up instead nuggets of goods sold;
Pfizer, Sinopharm, such stones that are read,
In wastelands seen of dread dungeons dark.
Repeat and be saved; the shamans heads shake,
For light overhead, awaits, broken spark.
Lips quiver in wisdom, walls roll and quake.
Oracle has spoken for our sake.

Dragon from Pinterest
Yesterday i posted Shudder - A fold linking it to dVerse and as quickly as today i am mining it with some new punctuations, line breaks and an extension of the storyline, and adding it to one of my series.

TALES OF A DRAGON UNSEEN - MAKING MYTHS [9]
"Mayhaps we be reading the shadows wrong."
She whispered to Erke, edging up even closer.
His sword sheathed, he dare not prolong
this agony of not knowing, what monster breathed
ahead. "Mayhaps we be reading the shadows wrong,"
he agreed with Gurtha, quickening his stride.
Just then, in the distance, the booming of a gong.
They stood frozen, holding breaths an eternity.
Quickly a shudder wove through the forest, a throng
of sensation. Forever cannot be drawn in a circle.
"Shh! mayhaps we be reading the shadows wrong."

The dragon shimmied its way back into the sea.
Silvery scales wagon-wheeling through the vast
wetness. Only to Neptune's trident he chose to flee.
Of loud percussions had he, no taste of entertainment.
So dragon prince, shimmied its way back into the sea.
Then the ripple of leaves against a whistling wind,
and Holy monks in a temple, tired too of duty,
Was now, all that remained of a harrowing night.
Till the next season of moon birthing, maybe,
Erke and Gurtha would have have to wait their adventure.
For the dragon shimmied its way, back into the sea.

Monday WRites 314

You've heard about the Monday Blues well this is  Monday WRites  (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).
Welcome to Monday WRites # 314: A Happy Monday to all. Be Safe.
Ah September and the weather here in T&T brings stormy days. With roofs blown off, flash flooding and trees falling. Yet we cling to hope and resolve. I have chosen yellow as the colour representing hope in my post today.

Quadrille - groovy
Let me bring you my yellow groovy,
Better than any boring movie.
Lets dance baby in yellow sunshine,
Today is special to moo, cows, and moonshine.
And with silver linings at dawn,
We shall wrap ourselves warm.
This poem writes itself,
  A magical  elf.

image Tale of The Nine Tail Fox
Gumihos, or the nine tailed foxes are mythical creatures commonly heard around East Asia. Lee Yeon is a powerful Gumiho and former mountain deity who has lived over a thousand years. The drama kicks off with his search for the reincarnation of his one true love Nam Jiah, who was separated from him due to possession by a deathly plague, metaphorical for the evils in the world. As the plot thickens, we find shades of love and sacrifice as Yeon sets out to battle his nemesis, save Jiah and in turn protect Seoul from dwindling.

KASA - CHOICES

He sees her that nine tale fox

She sees him her wannabe protector

Him alone she desires

Will he be forever hers

She will use her cunning ways

To achieve her whatevers

He will think before he acts

Family before passion

His first kiss seals a contract

To a wife wise and loyal

Not for him the nine tail fox

With her guile and wayward airs

NOW voiced by gillena cox

The empty street leads to the mountain

Where clouds sit upon

Looking down at us lowly creatures

In our houses

Hiding away from pandemic viruses

Once upon a time

We flooded the beach sands with our footsteps

Running

Laughing

Playing

Like children just discovering what joy is

And today

The silence wraps us in warm hugs

The kind we want to shrug off

But we know

They are the best we should have NOW.

PROCESS NOTE

This was a hard challenge for me. I voiced my poem on my phone but could not upload it. Then i tried voicing again directly to the post but it was not accepted so i had to go to my  laptop and  tried to up load the voiced recording to sound cloud only to be more confused and frustrated. I could only get it uploaded if i included it making it into a video. Only then it could be accepted to the post

Hope  you enjoy this attempt
