[To Mark Let the poetic sound of moons and stars invade your night thoughts to give you sweet dreams always for in your dreams lies the happiness you truly want. hope you enjoy the book Michelle ]

GOODNIGHT MY SWEET

Shall i describe my moon to you,
Unlike that dame living in a shoe?

It's good to be under the open stars,
I' m surely nowhere near mars.

But is not your moon my moon?
Ah! to see you close i swoon.

For i read from pages of love,
And yearn for your tender love.

Just the way it used to be, sweet.
Goodnight my love until we meet.

THAT MOON

Shining through, the lonely lady of night

Like a cyclops, sees

Every indecent proposal

Posted to a disgusted face.

Under the cherry moon, one bright

Spring night, she tossed a rose

To the heap awaiting garbage disposal.

You see it was a case

Of unrequited love; how wrong so right,

There the meaningless token,

Awakening no arousal

Of appreciation for a vase,

Was cast away out of her sight.

Cocktail breathed a sigh of relief,

The color of night was lethal,

An assault of sensitivities at base.

Fifty shades of grey just might

Be, the perfect hue of that moon global.

KINDLY MOON

How now kindly moon?

You full out the night with

Your enhancing round of brilliance:

Where there lovers

Under your umbrage?

Silhouettes of passion passing

The time of drawing cobalt sky:

Any annoyance sated in sweet kiss

Of dark tree shadow

Then  further you to traverse

To a smile in the night blanket of sky

Monday WRites 299

Caterpillars In My Plumerias
Yesterday, was held, A National Day of Prayer. We are still in our 3rd lockdown, and in A State of Emergency here in Trinidad and Tobago.
❧✿❧
And, there are caterpillars in my plumerias. I did googling on Caterpillars and found some  interesting info:
The life cycle of Caterpillar symbolizes times when you're dealing with potential and transformation. Caterpillars are associated with good luck and new birth. The caterpillar represents new birth and new foundation and is a symbol of good luck in the early phase of new actions. Caterpillars usually signify a need for gentle and quiet approaches to our activities and endeavors. The caterpillar spirit animal teaches you the importance of patience. You need to wait .When this spirit guide finds its way into your life, you achieve steady progress in everything you do. Yes, you may be a bit slow, but your progress is steady and admirable.

Haibun Monday 5-24-21:
Flower moon

Decked in our 'glad to be out of the house wear'. We sit around tables in the church yard. The plates and cups are made of plastic, so are the forks and spoons. But the table cloths are of the kind, if you spill anything on it, i will have have to be put in the washer, to be laundered and then it must be ironed.

Most of us know one another. A few have brought in a sister or brother, neighbour or a friend. It's a bright night and we sit in an uncovered space, the car park. The old church at that time is still with us, and we pray fervently for our new refurbished church at every opportunity we come together.

How come there is that large lamp over there? The Park and the police station are that way.

[I used images from the internet to form today's mosaic, fair use]

A GORGEOUS RED GOWN
After her fabulous moon party where she donned her gorgeous red gown, on July 27th, shadow dancing with earth and her other guests, today finds Ms Moon a waning gibbous holding on to about 94 percent of her roundness.

MOST LIKELY THE MOON
In those days when love chilled me
like a winter's dream,
I should have stolen kisses from the moon
Instead of penning blues like harpist or bassist

Then i could have plucked my hoarded booty
like Cherry petals,
Wafting then in a zephyr of diaphanous delight
Rather than sulking in nadir of doubting

When love refuses to bounce a reciprocal
like unbalanced boomerang,
Look to moon her face malleable but firm her core
Given freely naught to drill or steal her sap

Super Blue Blood Moon 2018 January
The last Blue Moon occurred in July 2015 and in 2018, we'll experience two of them, a phenomena that won't happen for another 19 years. The second Blue Moon is slated to occur in late March.

SHAPE SHIFTING
Inside the moon is nest of chameleon,
In recluse I watch their puffed necks,
As they scuttle by under camouflage,
How come the moon shifts shape?
Its not because of me, it because of them,
Silent gaze is your best retort,
For poems are never stored to yon moon,
Only shared in utter desperation,
When words are all we got but nought,
For light or shadowy cloud or halo.

OF STAR DUST AND NIGHT SWOON
Inky dark the night
And moonless the sky
For Most-Wicked-est the wand
Had plucked out the moon

The Star Group held witness
To this heinous act
And hurried to a place
More beyond than the sky

Here he dwelleth
The one they called The Highest
Seated on a throne
Most magnificent
Most beautiful

Star Group bowed in reverence
He touched their points so lightly
They blurted out
The plight of the sky

The Highest listened and nodded
And shone in wrath
How! Dare! He!
Thundered The Highest

And the great beyond trembled
At his voice
His sylla-bells reached
The thousand air-drums
Of Most-Wicked-est
Who heard and heard and shook
In a tizzy of petrified fright

The moon dropped
And bounced twice
Then rose as if helium sated
To its place in the sky

I tell you this tale
I tell you in truth
For dramas so many
Are witness only
To star dust clusters

With her tiny pointing finger, she wonders at the moon, a child of my heart so small so cute, there is magic all around, for the moon is big and round, and grandma sings, a sweet smelling song. Plumerias white in the night, centers of yellow, like moon or like sun. Not every song, is lullaby in the night.

MOON POESY
What a large large moon i exclaimed
To the offering of a night sky long planned

A stunning moon greeted my stares
From a distance still to me unfathomable

When that bright moon seared my thoughts
I stared in wonder for this was a night

A moonlit course of opening my heart
To the shadowy foibles encased in poesy

Is there ever a moon on high not loving
A poet's soul not witholding a swooning

Monday WRites 45

a Joe Rao, SPACE.com image

MOON
The moon is a luminous creature
She calls you away from twinkling stars
She is so much like a silent preacher
Telling telling of ways divine
Here, no blizzards blow for this luminous creature
Silent and watchful, today she is round
Slowly she'll etch herself, to a sickle feature
Or morph into shadowy moods as she pleases
Ah, but we know her wiles, we know her nature
We chart manipulations of, her waxing, her waning
We watch closely this luminous creature

SHY MOON

I paint my face on a shy moon,
Hoping to draw from her a swoon;
Quiet there, among shadowy cloud,
This night, tis made no doubt,
For magical thoughts hence to tether,
Fantasy, which may forever,
Etch admonitions for wanderers,
Their faces turned to night lumineers.
