REMBERING PEACHES AND A VACATION

In the bigness of the Apple city

Walking down some street

Where fruit sellers are

I stop to purchase

Peaches

Seen them in the movies before

Read them in books before

And now here i am in NY city

Buying Peaches

Reaching indoors

I wash them

And bite into a yummy hidden yellowness

My first taste of

Peaches

I eat them every day

What's a vacation for

If not to eat

Peaches

When i return home where

Summer cyah done

There will be watermelons

Green variegated thick skins

And sweet crunchy red flesh

I will keep cool then, eating

Watermelon slices.

AND

Prompt to use any form of "Linger" in a 44-word poem

QUADRILLE - LIGHT
 Before the dawn of creation
I lingered
Hidden in the thought of God

Then he spoke
And i knew
That time had come

So i appeared
As he  had called
Me

Light
Then shone
For all to see

Sun and moon
And
 Every star

PAPER WINDMILLS

Amidst the lively music

The costumed revelers

Bright sunshine

And cumulus mounds of cloud

There walks about

The windmill seller

He lacks neither colour

Nor motion

Stuck into a pole

Are little whorls

To dazzle and mesmerize

The little ones onlooking

Look! paper windmills

I want one

I want one

I want one too.

 A BEAUTIFUL DRAGONFLY

Who will question your diaphanous wing,

And wonder wither does your flights to fancy be.

Are there bird songs that you too wish to sing?

Will the dawn wait a  lazy sun to be.

As day lights azure clearest of blue sky,

Mocks such clear patterns mirrored through thine,

A cathedral of stain glass windows sigh,

Weight of suffering impassioned  to wine.

Oh stay! that I might ask questions of you,

For truly you distance by so quickly,

Zipping by from air anywhere  perched to,

Allow passersby to watch lovingly.

You know beauty lies in those admiring eyes.

You know yourself for their contentment lies.

AND

Prompt: to use the line
"So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm."
from William Blake’s poem

AGAIN WITH THE COVID PRECAUTIONS
Watch your distance. Mask up. Wash hands. Sanitize. Keep your surfaces at home clean. Wash your fruit and veggies before storing.
Take the vaccines. There are lots to choose from.
This might all sound very boring, but, better a boring one than no life at all.
Stay at home and medicate, if you feel sick. Don't mix in public.
So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm.

TEMPLE OF HEALING
We wander through hot desserts of sands gold,
No one dares turn dust into loaves of bread,
Picking up instead nuggets of goods sold;
Pfizer, Sinopharm, such stones that are read,
In wastelands seen of dread dungeons dark.
Repeat and be saved; the shamans heads shake,
For light overhead, awaits, broken spark.
Lips quiver in wisdom, walls roll and quake.
Oracle has spoken for our sake.
