PIZZA! - A FOLD
Really, it was just one of those days;
The sky was blue, the clouds fluffy;
Dark clouds however, have their sneaky ways;
They creep into your bones, instead of the sky;
Lethargy without reason, fill those days;
Sighs: long, lingering and repeated out breaths;
Jostle space; in an air, sunlight, sadness,, maze;
A tiny idea zooms larger and larger, make a pizza!
Yummy! some solutions are so simple for those days

Monday WRites 250

Click to Mix and Solve
[If you click on the arrow, it takes you to the page where you can assemble the jigsaw pieces]

Good Morning friends of Monday WRites. What's your Monday like so far? The photo accompanying this post is really an online jigsaw puzzle of the old church building where i worship here in St James Trinidad. The church was closed in 2014 for renovations and reopened anew in October 2019. So it doesn't look anything like the photo now.
Closed again due to covid19 pandemic lockdown closing of all churches schools etc. This weekend all churches were reopened again here in T&T, with the easing of lockdown in phases.
You've heard about the Monday Blues well this is Monday WRites (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance or
eg the rite of afternoon tea). Welcome to Monday WRites #250: A Happy Monday to all ❧✿❧

HE DRUMMED
A gift saying all i have,
from a heart pure and innocent,
to match a coming into this life
of strive and sin.
A rthymn so great in its giving,
sounds from a little boy,
who drummed to a baby,
majestic in a manger.

STARS AT NIGHT - A FOLD
Most highest high, pass the stars at night,
A wondrous love dwells above the clouds.
Born again by water thus, our birthright,
There in the upper room sealed his desire;
For each one of us, pass the stars at night,
Of fire given through our friend and brother,
With tongues, gifts universal set he the sight.
The Word to be told, the Word to be light,
Guiding those lost out of places dark to safety;
Serene pasture of verdant providence in reach,
Of each one of us, pass the stars at night.

CORONA'S BOX
It was time for the opening. They emptied the contents of crowned shaped dust all over the surface of planet earth.

Mornings became quiet now except for the whistling and chirping birds letting all and sundry know that the new day had merged from night to dawn to morning. This was The New Eerie Time.

The Lords Obedient all proclaimed throughout the planet: there will be no church going, no beach going, no school going, no hugging, no assembling, no kissing, no partying. This is the Era of The New Lord No.

He he he He he he; a sinister low laughter was heard by some.

"Close the restuarants! Close the barbers and hairdressers! Yes you can wear face masks!" "Yes meh Lord they answered" And so we go in different directions down the imperturbable street. But flowers still bloomed in earth's soil.

STEPPING OUT IN FAITH
Hers was a slip of the tongue;
What she really wanted to articulate,
Was the way her mind had sung,
That day not so long ago at the gate,
To her new normal lifestyle adventure,
Que sera sera,
Who knew this day would come.

IT WASN'T JUST MIDNIGHT
It was the middle of the night,
And there a thing so scary;

A shadow carved in the dark
Unmoving, it craved screams;

Ah but she stood her ground,
Ha! she exclaimed, look at you

Shaped like a minotaur, nonsense!
Phased to this not that not this;

Couldn't even make up your mind.
Neve! you are absolutely useless.

Structured colourful pieces fit so nicely, locking one end into another. No wonder kids love it. Leggo blocks I believe, are designed to fit the fantasy of every idealist I am sure.

If it cannot fit, it's not meant to be. No surprises, no challenges, no adventure, no revolution. Just the plain and simple square knot into the correct square hole.

And in this compelling game of bonding, grandparents and grandchildren loose themselves, regardless of weather or time of day. I reflect on pre covid days. I miss my granddaughter. A video call is just not the same thing as a visit.
