Monday WRites 217

[Today's mosaic 'Whats Blooming']

60 years after Sadako Sasaki's death, the story behind Hiroshima's paper cranes is still unfolding
It must be so sad to loose loved ones in such heinous loud uproars, A bombing killing so many innocent lives going about their daily chores unawares, unprotected, unarmed. This is what war does, rips open the souls of so many left to mourn even so many more. Were there flowers blooming then and there? Questions unanswered to this day. Chrysthantemums, peonies, roses. Beautiful little souls hoping one day to be doctors nurses care givers.

so much no more of sorrow

Monday WRites 216

Today's mosaic - Graptophyllum pictum, caricature plant leaves from my garden 2019,

DESTINED UNIONS
Listen the raindrops dropping from the sky
Where does one hide from darkness of night
Perhaps wishes need clamber way up on high
Where mountain-kissed clouds surrender be
Do you hear raindrops dropping from the sky
Are there dreams unspoken and concealed
Moonlight and starlight and wondrous sigh
Birthing paths where direction takes root
In nebulous contemplating silent cry
There alpha and omega lead and follow
In destined unions dropping from the sky

How To Construct The Fold Poem here and here

How do you feel about rainy Mondays, guess now a days , the answer is bring it on since there's a heat wave on in most parts. Still The 'Carpenters' didn't share those feelings at some time past.

IS THERE
In a sky freckled of fireworks,
is there an independent moon?
To question loud booming celebrations
Of man-made notions:
That Freedom must first be fought,
Then bought,
Since shackles of dystopian dreams
Feed off olive branches bare of doves and partridges.
Well is there?

DANCE
Dance, dance in the rhythm of moonlit nights
For time is young in hearts of thou and me
Petit, my waistline swerves under your sights
Milky way and morning dew ours be
Ride the waves this night upon open sea
As you dance me pulsing to skirt swirling
Nary a tango nor a waltz furling
Just twined hearts may carry such a passion
Of a night destined among the whirling
When stars twinkle only for this session

Monday WRites 215

Today's mosaic is titled 'July Past' and is made up of past July images posted at my blog Lunch Break.

patterns of light passion pink petals painting

MORNING CUES
A spontaneous pattern of sunlight
Shadows paint on the ground
Forms indeed an intricate sight
It is morning they surround
But then came the thunder sound

And then it rained and rained
A curtain of raindrops well trained
Was now set to the window view
Not to be drawn there as if chained
Awaiting the next of morning cue

AMBROSIA NIGHTS
Nights were, when the calming scent of Ambrosia
Wrapped me like skin, cuddling like moon perimeters

Keeping me secured and enlightened stayed confined
My thoughts never drifted beyond the sound of breath

My heart was light with giggles and laughter, heady
As if consumed of wine in long stem glasses, cheers!

My wishes were pasted to eternity stretching into
Unknown places sensed in the sensuality of moment

Etched in the echoes of time silent and unwavering
You held me tenderly you were scented in Ambrosia

RAIN WITNESS
All and sundry, they pop up to say hello to raindrops.
Caladium of the broad speckled leaf,
Xythosoma of the single red sheath petal ,
Fever Few of white petals and golden center
as well curious unknown ones,
All witnesses at the altar of Rain.

Cinque Terre, Italy - by Kookay

SEASONS MAY
Now that the Poui have gone shy of blossoms,
Blue green outline of mountains hem the sky line.
Grey clouds will skirt their way into many a morning
There to stay weeping,
Hushing excited thrill of dawn birds,
Shooing them off to hiding places.
Seasons come and sometimes linger before they go,
Ah but morning breaks, regardless of the
Her sun, dipping into the horizon of hours,
No matter how low.
