Monday WRites 166

Reposting one of my 2014 poems LAKE HILLIER
The Lady Dunaliella Salina
And her exquisite sister Halobacteria
Sit in their boudoir under the sea
Spinning threads of pink cotton candy

Who knows where yarns of gossip go
Of Wati kutjara or salty bro
This much i know above as below
For miles and miles all is pink aglow

Good Monday folks. Already its August. I choose to mosaic a pink wildflower growing in my backyard. Just didn't know what else to do this Monday. August is named in honor of the first Roman emperor, Augustus Caesar (63 B.C.– A.D. 14), who was the grandnephew of Julius Caesar.

HERE ARE SOME PINK POEM I FOUND ON THE INTERNET
Pink Sari
Pink - Poem by Mark R Slaughter
Pink Little Comb

AND A PINK QUOTE
“If hot red is for anger and rage, pink is the color of a soft burning – hot enough to light up the dark corners of sadness and grief, but cool enough to be tender, innocent, open.”
― Ibi Zoboi, from her book 'American Street'

A SET OF CONTRADICTIONS
Hot day, cold voices.
Cool skin, deep set longing.

Brave steps,
Rough unmolded stones.

Harmony where is your desire;
Pain your surcease?

Yin do you contradict yang;
What of sunset and moonrise?

Death and Life;
Your boundaries you clearly defined.

Feather light,
And apple sweet.

SOUNDLESS SILENCE
Colour of silence is dawn, just before roosters
sound their crowing. Smell of silence is night rain,
when earth rises to meet tears of cobalt clouds,
flattened into shadows of sky. Span of silence is
unfathomed eternity stretching on and on and on
soundlessly.

Monday WRites 165

[I used images from the internet to form today's mosaic, fair use]

A GORGEOUS RED GOWN
After her fabulous moon party where she donned her gorgeous red gown, on July 27th, shadow dancing with earth and her other guests, today finds Ms Moon a waning gibbous holding on to about 94 percent of her roundness.

a morning clear and bright -
birds songs betwixt rosary beads

Good Morning, its the last Monday of July 2018, This year is moving at such a pace.
Did anyone view the eclipse of July 27th. I didn't. I read about it and slept through it all.

CLOUD POWER
Soft as cotton candy
Misty
Moody as a femme fatale
Shift shaping
Dragons fly and Magi store
Laughter

Where do oceans get her fill -
Swelling her ever-pregnant belly;
From rivers, streams, drains
And these in turn from

Clouds of Overcast
Clouds of storm
