Sketching a Day
On the drawing board, dawn sketches it's smoky sky and twittering birds.
I often wonder how do they know the time for twittering.
They serve me well nature's alarm clock.
Time to stretch,
To give thanks for another day,
To send out a greeting.

    I love the twittering alarms of the birds. I have lorikeets who screech colour and noise across the sky in the morning and afternoon and would not have it any other way. Lovely poem for the birds.

    My guess is that they are rooster twittering birds, roosters know when to crow.
    (if you come to mine, click on the link for my 2006 blog, then search the blog for "rooster" and you will see how to make a rooster STOP crowing. Maybe we could get those birds to stop their twittering. ) :)
