A SCARE FOR THE CROWS

Aren't you scared

Afraid maybe

But scared i'm not

Whose afraid of

Unworthy crows

Dont be a scaredy cat

Well then lets face this

Scarecrow come alive

Scaremonger

Scaring is the pasttime

Of

The unafraid

Lets scare the living daylights

Out of those crows.

[Japanese Art Figurative Painting Mario B. Gil Hairdresser Edo period from google]

HAIR PRETTY

Wanting to get a good shampoo

Make her hair real pretty

So bid

She did

Make her hair real pretty

Seated there wrote she a ditty

To calm her nerves moreso

So glad

She had

To calm her nerves moreso

The trip back to her bunglow

In traffic jam with fret

Stopping

Starting

In traffic jam with fret

Without bandana her regret

Wild to wanton it grew

Chutney

Cut me

Wild to wanton it grew

[The potato eaters by Van Gogh from google dot com]

First date and she was talking about The Potato Eaters. Try the soup Henry nudged. She hesitated. Soup was not a dish she relished. She was a rice and peas taste. She loved pelau and she loved fried chicken.

The soup of the day was pumpkin. Pumpkin was a vegetable she liked. Or was it a fruit. Anyway a craftily sculped Jack o Lantern was also to  her a must in October. She had all her carving tools stashed away in the cupboard near the back of garage

soup anyone

[The Birth if A Poem by Sehiry Reznichenko source google.com]

ON WRITING

Is then any tree a book?

Page after page,

Leaf after leaf of

Divine hieroglyphs thereof

Page after page.

Is then any ocean a magazine?

Wave after wave

Ripple after ripple of

Uncensored chirography hereof

Wave after wave.

Is then any Christmas a salvation?

Stable after stable

Of magi and of baby boy

 Message of redemption ploy?

Stable after stable.

Is then any pen a poet's arm?

Scribble after scribble

Of  syllables utterable

A serving of words adorable

Scribble after scribble .

KINDLY MOON

How now kindly moon?

You full out the night with

Your enhancing round of brilliance:

Where there lovers

Under your umbrage?

Silhouettes of passion passing

The time of drawing cobalt sky:

Any annoyance sated in sweet kiss

Of dark tree shadow

Then  further you to traverse

To a smile in the night blanket of sky

It was big of him to offer;

Such sentiments of camaraderie,

His smile spreading,

Like ready yeast

In a homemade bowl of dough

Good for the baking

They toast with aloe wine.

THERE BY THE LAKE
She was reading about him. They had labelled him egotist. So wrapped up in himself they said. He didn't stand a chance. They all lambasted him. All of them.
Were there mirrors about in that time. Did they have  to coin a metaphor naming his plight? Was it not the first time he had seen this fair face? The face of his beloved? The face that spurned him so, to pine for love until he withered and died right there by the lake?
Are we on reflection being fair to Narcissus?  Did he know that the face in the water was his? Wasn't there the underlying factor of rejection and curse?
She read on questioning the norm. And all she would conclude after contemplation was, how romantic!
Are we now to conclude that to her death is quite romantic?

UNDER AN UMBRELLA

How do i colour these rainy days?

Now that my palatte is scattered.

Now that my brush is loaded.

How do i colour the deluge?

Who will scold morning birds?

Do they ever sleep late, like we?

You can wallow on pillow mounds

Poo poo the downpour away

But daylight saunters in.

Cut me some slack, you plead.

Got to ponder raindrop peperomia.

Strut your butt under an umbrella.

Like A Hurricane by Capicotto from google

ALL HUMANS

Just after the dust, facing masked countenance,
The dance between heaven and hell.
Borders of bombs, and children
With faces stained of estrangement,
Bereft of the beauty of sunflowers,
Bold before evening's coming.

Isn"t this enough?
Enough is enough!
The lament of sinners only provoke
The howling winds of more distraught days
With roof and tree strewn streets.

Bring all humans: cowering , saintly, or brave
Morph them into superheroes for future days.
