Poetic Moon

Should all the adjectives be

As comely as me?

Describing, prescribing quality

No even asked for necessarily

Who howls at a round moon

If not a wolfish banter too soon

Released to a sultry night

Or even might

There be a dreamer coining words

Visa Card

My smile is as broad as it is wide,

Its perfect and its genuine,

'Somewhere in the future'

 The signpost reads.

All my books are in every bookstore,

And kids say look mum

I want this one;

Mum smiles too, as she reaches for her visa card.

Option 1: Take a few minutes to create your own Time Machine Bucket List. Try to come up with ten or so of them. Once your list has been completed, go through it one by one and let the one that speaks to you be your choice, and write a poem about it.

A Secret Wish

She; across the seas, had heard about this relative since she was knee high. They said he was a tyrant and a boisterious no good fellow. He valued only his opinions and thought that he alone should  have a voice.

She left him high and dry. Search high search low, he couldn't find her - his wife of  three years. Three years was more than enough time for her to admit she had made a huge mistake. She made good trusted friends, saved some money and found herself somewhere else to live.

Here she was in the big apple for the first time. It was November. And her curiosity proded,  to see this creature everyone wanted to stay away from. One of his wife's friends reluctantly agreed to take her there; but in her mind she was thinking, snow would be the easy way out.

Quietly Away

She set sail into that ether sea

With nary a goodbye nary a wave

Seems she knew there had to be

More than this earthly green cave

Prayerful countenance compare

Non to be as she was dear

The smell of bread baking follows me,

Ever to every bakery where,

Non can acheive her fait accompli;

My mother now rests at peace.

"We mortals, men and women, devour many a disappointment between breakfast and dinner-time; keep back the tears and look a little pale about the lips, and in answer to inquiries say, "Oh, nothing!" Pride helps; and pride is not a bad thing when it only urges us to hide our hurts— not to hurt others."
George Eliot, Middlemarch

Options And Choices
What do birds sing of
If not the arrangement of day
Each a new and gifted legacy
To do what with and leave behind
In yesterday.

When all is stated, narrated, said;
Still, there is no conclusion;
Only options and choices,
To act out and deem the day
Lived

Fall Is Not Just A Season

I remember falling in the street;

I was not dizzy, it was no treat.

Falling on the church steps,

Be assured, there was no vortex.

In the car park, after lunch;

And after such a good munch.

Street smart and healthy,

I remember falling.
