Monday WRites 136

[all images in this mosaic found at Pinterest]

JOY
We wait in joy for his being born
Saviour of the world so well sworn
Eyes peeled watching for that star
Once wise men followed from afar

He comes again to bring that hope
Just when we think we cannot cope
Dare we forget his holy sacrifice
Already is paid redemption's price

What a wondrous season of longing
We endure a new sense of belonging
To kingdom gathered under His wing
His salvation wisely then to cling

Thus the cause of great and lasting joy
Our hearts a manger for this baby boy

JOY ABIDING
There really is this place abiding
Unicorn strides direct joy to everyday

No summer's heat or winter's snow
Joy above upholds moon's curved sky

A flourish, for air breathes happily
Weep of joy blossom from Poui Tree

And clouds reflect in rainbow arc
Again such joy as have come to pass

joy

Furling in the rhythms of joy
The recall of a little Mexican boy

Whose wisdom to give so humbly
Moved the realm of magic to reality

Thus the redness from a palette esoteric might
Add colour to the Flower of the Blessed Night
