Here And Over There
How can mist just absorb it all?
Mountain, palm, and aged tree;
Oh silver-lit sky! answer his call,
Say to morning, here i am, before
Deciding to just absorb it all;
There in yond garden, an effort
Of blossoming peeps over a wall,
There 's sure to be delighted
Hearts swooned to watch some fall,
Yin and yang fill empty whole
So how can mist just absorb it all?

I love the circularity of this poem, Gillena, returning to the mist, and the ‘effort of blossoming’ that peeps over a wall.

Once again you demonstrate the virtues of your signature Fold form, Gillena, and sprinkle your cycle of nature with, to most of us, exotic plants, palms and ageing tropical trees - lyrical...
ReplyDeleteA mystery of the mist and how as you say absorbs it all...I love to see these mists and how they develop into more than they are.
