DUST
Dust is the nusiance of sweep and sweep,
The broom working overtime,
In the absence of a vacuum cleaner.

Dust is the reiteration of yesterday's chore,
And the vexation of Sahara Dust,
Crossing the Atlantic in modern day climate change.

Dust is  is the prophecy of endings: "dust to dust and ashes to ashes,"
It really is the iteration of heartbreak, loss, and so frustrating,
Dust is.

  1. Now that you put it that way, I've seldom come across a dust that was pleasant and wasn't frustrating...

  2. Yes, you're right. Sweep and sweep, it just keeps coming back, and it's where we're all going in the end.

  3. You’ve really captured the annoyance that is dust Gillena! I totally agree with
‘Dust is the reiteration of yesterday's chore’ and ‘the iteration of heartbreak, loss, and so frustrating’.

  4. I like how you approached this from the frustration of sweeping moving to the much deeper frustration of loss. Nice one, Gillena.

  6. Dust to dust indeed! Perhaps Jesus could have said, "Dust you will have with you always!" Well done!

  8. It is indeed a nuisance of sweep and sweep. This one hits it very well:

Dust is the reiteration of yesterday's chore. Dust is and I hate it (smiles).

  10. I wrote about the quality of dust too, Gillena! It does seem like a never-ending chore...sweeping the floors and dusting the furniture.
