PREPARE YE
Strangely a voice taken by the wilderness
Carries through wind in supple willingness
Through tree branches and sand dunes
Air and sky lend ear to message strewn
There is a visitor and he who is coming
With his arrival will we be succumbing
To seducer friend intruder guest or cheat
Do we win him a feast of happy receipt
Preparation observes to itself a season
Rain or months brittle Dry lend reason
Nuances of hope become ready corners
Hearts of dust and grime let to scourers

In her prompt The Silence Breakers
Sherry says "The rise of this movement, during a year when the political regime is trying to roll women's rights back into the 1950's, is stirring our souls. The "Me, too" movement includes just about everyone we know - millions of women are coming into the light of day and speaking out. We are saying "Enough!" "
ZONE OF DOUBLE
What lure the likes of reflection holds,
For a heart to beat after its own
Folly to apples poison the fairest
And moon round and full there to behold
STAR STUDDED JOURNEYMEN
Clatter of bones calls of days lost
Defeat in struggles cold gone lust
Mockery where light once burned
Empty sockets grin most, returned
Now all that was and this now past
Without blood hence now at last
Cage of support will rattle on anon
Till flesh returns or never lie be shun
Gather then crowns of seething green
Ever those boughs of steady wind seen
Bend thee in supple wondrous haze
Behold rapturous sight of dazzling gaze
Note The Advent wreath, or Advent crown, is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent in the liturgical calendar of the Western church... usually a horizontal evergreen wreath with four candles... Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a Bible reading, devotional time and prayers. An additional candle is lit during each subsequent week until, by the last Sunday before Christmas, all four candles are lit. Many Advent wreaths include a fifth, Christ candle which is lit at Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The custom is observed both in family settings and at public church services.
