CONTEMPLATION ON A COUCH
Sometimes a surprise is painted in bright colours
To seep through the windows of a dull lonely gaze

In the stillness of seemingly inertia
A change propels the momentum of a wider view

Look beyond the skin the flesh the bones
Deeper maybe a soul lurks somewhere hidden

Shut tight behind a golden bolted door which
When a sincere knocking was ever wrought opened

AFTER COFFEE CORNFLAKES
Don't discard the cereal carton Tony.

Let me shape words for you.
High,
To clouds touching steeples,
Knowing seams of adhering.

Curved, like a slow steady gaze;
Far,
Into vast tomorrows,
Where heartbeats sync.

Forming shadows, bold and daring,
Play;
Rhythms of sunlight to ribbon,
Pale cool slow moon kisses.

I shape my words for you, Tony;
Round,
Like rings in eternal galaxies,
Where only laughter resides.

Monday WRites 104

[image from google dot com]

RENEWAL
Streets lights go out,
I swear by those invisible threads

Morning birds carry through the air;
Singing their age old choruses,

Weaving their patterns of destiny,
For earth, as her wheel spins on cue,

Her angels, traditional patterns
Must continue, in renewal, in repair.

[Raphael, 1516–1517. Christ Carrying the Cross;

CRUCIFY HIM
Tag him hustler, for soul's ransom
Label him scammer, for healings done
Seize him
Nail him to a tree awaiting

As for Barabbas the prisoner, free him
For wishes of mob must we accrue
Then in a tomb stash away folly
For such as is the mark of history

Now for limitless celebration
As a bridge we shall sell to angels.

Monday WRites 103

[Holy Week Clip Art from Google dot com]

HOLY THIS WEEK
Of The one so holy
We dare ascribe a span of days
Insufficient
To the measure of being

We dare ascribe a span of days
Diligent in our liturgies
Notwithstanding
The sinfulness of our nature

His mercy gifted
Happy in our remembrances

3 POETS TWEET (AND GIGGLES)
the chamber door
a rustle of purple curtains
oh curious midnight !

By the merest chance
Edgar; do you have a cat
named 'Jennyanydots' ?

praying the rosary
dawn falling away in my garden
I espy
new flowers on an old shrub
I could wear that colour lipstick

Process Note
The poem goes like this:
Edgar Allan Poe tweets, from The Raven to T.S. Eliot, who reply-tweets from his The Old Gumbie Cat. Then i tweet using motifs from Saturday night to today, Sunday midday.
After church yesterday evening, a stray cat slinked through my front gate, before me. Then last night
I dreamt that my neighbourhood was turned into a wasteland, there i stood in my dream-defiant mode:
i wasn’t leaving; so i pulled out my cellphone, called my husband and complained. Old grey dreadlocked wizard that he was, he quickly whisked me back home. So here i am folks, out of dreamscape today Sunday. I prayed my rosary this morning. And i'm here with my tweet poem sharing now.

RICE CAKES
A smile rules the doll's house
A story now is told
Ever a cuddly audience
Assembled there to hear

The Buddha sits in silence
Rice cakes set in his plate
The sweet scents of incense
Rise to dissipate

When sticky little fingers
Of a urchin standing by
Edges close to Buddha's plate
His rice cakes to deplete
