THE RAINS
Awakened in the middle of the night
The music on the roof no way slight
Its the sound of night clouds crying
Yes angels sigh while we are sleeping
Ti's much more than than they can take
Months of constant drought will forsake
The comfort of stars lulled to sparkle
While heat informs the moon's darkle
To mood swings of debris and flood
Careless inputs of who man and mud

I love the sound of rain on the roof - especially a tin porch roof, with the wind chimes tinkling.......heaven!

The sound of rain is mesmerizing. I suppose because it creates such an intimate connection to the sound of nature. As I write this, the clouds are crowding around my house and I'm hoping for a downpour.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain. Thanks for dropping in Myrna
