THE COTTAGE
She was tired of littered streets
Careless wanton disrespect deletes
Rewards left at sunset’s presentation
Muck and grime scenario revelation
Trudging through bones of discontent
Tiredness a shawl of ragged lament
Bore down her soul crossing that bridge
‘Tween toil and evening’s destined cottage
The solace of humbleness awaits
With fine face and tidy debates
Of cobbler, soup and bread, or fruit and cheese
& cheery old aunt; purse hat & brollie release

To be there at the end of day and find your grace in solitude is not always the worst of things.

I loved the form you chose for this poem---lyrical although the subject is far from joyful. Well done :D
