As sure as sunshine after rain
Trek when sunny the day
Being close to trees again
Moss on age old stone
Birdsongs as sunshine after rain
Tired legs tired back
Stopping starting up again
Backpacks heavy to shoulders
Cicadas their shrill refrain
Atmosphere eerie forest green
Continue as sunshine after rain

This is lovely Gillena, with tones of Robert Frost, very much, and haiku hidden within the words.

I like the circularity and repetition in this poem, Gillena, beginning and ending with ‘sunshine after rain’, and enjoyed the walk with you, taking in the ‘moss on age old stone’ and the cicadas.

I like that you used the fold poem to incorporate your phrases. May sunshine always continue after rain.🙏🏻

"Trek when sunny the day" - I like this grammatically odd phrase. Nice one Gillena 👏
