IT WASN'T JUST MIDNIGHT
It was the middle of the night,
And there a thing so scary;

A shadow carved in the dark
Unmoving, it craved screams;

Ah but she stood her ground,
Ha! she exclaimed, look at you

Shaped like a minotaur, nonsense!
Phased to this not that not this;

Couldn't even make up your mind.
Neve! you are absolutely useless.

    Middle of the night here is 3:00AM, assuming going to bed at midnight and waking at six. This was a fun read, Gillena, it reminds of the new rabbit hole we have in our back yard left in the middle of the night and now was waiting for us to see this morning. Watch our for baby rabbits!!!

    The "carved" shadow "craving screams" is a great line! Anagrams, creative personification, and repetition of sounds, all in a short span.
