STARDUST AND SPLENDOR
A flaming sword guards my heart,
Now eternity cannot have its; way,
Of breaking bonds, and spinning
Yarns, not intent to right crafting.
That which burns with fiery dread
Will offer to the ill-fated stranger,
Lessons in trust and worth, for my heart
Is a tender place of love, a succor of hope
An oasis of faith, a bounty of sweetness.
My cherubim will utter no, not for you
Unworthy one, come no closer.
For peril, awaits the intent of disrepute
This heart is bound for glory days
For evenings of stardust and splendor.

It's taken me many a year to realize that I don't have to like everyone or have everyone like me. I'm glad I got there. See, you got me reflecting again with another poem. Thank you, Gillena. :-)

Gillena - a heart-warming poem. I thrilled to the images of a fiery sword and cherubim protecting your heart - evil forces are out there and we need all the help we can get to keep ourselves on the straight and narrow path! Thanks for lending your visual and written talents to Mosaic Monday! (And belated Happy Birthday!)
