Monday WRites 123

[cool planets 3d graphics mobile wallpaper from google dot com]

E[VER] LIFE?
[plug in part] of the charger gets twisted and breaks off
enough juice left [about 22 %] to start pulling hairs off scalp

then, shameless question to self, via smart brain
was there L[ife] before the cell phone?

all hours of insominia nights tap tapping to the light of
'Farmville Tropic Escape' or 'Fairway Solitaire'

moon fades to missing overused burn of fingers
daylight to come, Cellular Planet to go, fast landing

to the mall, ah the mall! for new charger new juice
was there E[ver] life before the cell phone gaming?

mini challenge - juice
Responding to Brendan's challenge, write a poem about power in your life and the world. Write about family or creativity or instinct, plugging in or playing unhooked, heavenly or earthly powers, the power of life or death, human powers versus nature's, etc...Extra points for keeping your poem mini (-ish, -esque, -mal, -finny, etc.)

  1. I love this and also sometimes wonder how we used to get around without cellphones! I mean we are so used to these gadgets💖 sigh.. beautifully penned. Happy Monday, Gillena😘🍹

  3. I really like the structure, the mental image it evokes... I can see the speaker pondering the problem, trying to fix things, and then her elation when things are finally back to her normal. It reads like a wee documentary.

  4. I do hope that there was life before Iphones... (as a matter of fact I remember it)
