FROM HERE TO WHERE
I find myself here, fragile full
........................(echo) lull
Me to sleep, within a song of slumber
........................(echo) ember
Flecks of gold, adorn the winding ways
........................(echo) says
The smiling doll faces and cuddly bears
........................(echo) wears
Are but pastime distractions, much
........................(echo) such
Is the manner of adult frivolities
........................(echo) idolatries
If infants could speak, for everyone's care
........................(echo) dear
Dear, where from and to where goes
........................(echo) crows
A rooster, tis only the beginning
.................(echo) beginning

Oh, that crowing rooster! Makes me think of Peter Pan wanting not to grow up! "If infants could speak" I would certainly listen. I'm feeling fragile and ready to sleep a while, to heal. How did you manage to put all this in such a joyful poem?
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the moonlight music.
