HALLOWED IS HER NAME
And the maiden shall conceive and bear a son; Is 7:14

Angel of God descends from on high
Proclaiming a destiny, already realised
Her Yes prophesied, maiden meek and mild
She to carry the Jesus child

Sorrow her anguish, potion of her cup
Yes! in pure kneading, bane of her bread

Mother of nations to Heaven uplifting

    Thank you, Gallena, for the reminder. In the U.S. and in our church(Protestant-Baptist) we don't celebrate Ascension Day as such. But our entire Christian religion, yours and mine, is based on the Good Friday (death/human sacrifice on the cross voluntarily for all our sins), Easter (being raised from his grave in victory over Satan and Hell), and Ascension (back to Heaven with God to save from Hell all who confess their sin to Him--Jesus--and ask forgiveness forever), happenings of Jesus Christ when he was human on our Earth.
