Along A Winding Road
The road is narrow,
Narrow enough for the bus,
And a swirling breeze;
The view from the window
Steep and slooping,
Seems endless;
But there are fields,
Christophene fields,
The vegetable, is also called chayote;
There are streamers on some of the plants,
Would they be like scarecrows,
To discourage birds,
And secure the harvest;
No other vehicle passes us ,
Along the narrow road,
So happy for that,
Had there been another,
Our hearts would beat its fastest;
How would another vehicle fit,
Along this narrow road,
Winding its way,
Way above steep slooping fields below;
We journey on with interest and,
Brave hearts.

It sounds like this trip would take nerves of steel.

Those roads sound similar to Thailand up here in the mountains. I've put my little motorbike to the test many times, hoping that there is nothing coming around the corners. I learned what Christophene means today too 👍
