Wonderland Today - a quadrille
Tears welled into an ocean
Hard to believe humans
Contained so much water
Alice knew swim she must
To get to the tea party
This was not yesterday's wonderland
To stay on that page

Another favourite book of mine, The Book Thief, and well done for composing a quadrille about Alice in Wonderland from that line, Gillena. Your opening line is a hook too.

A thought-provoking poem, Gillena. The ocean of tears cried is a powerful image. There are so many crying in the world right now.
