Love is blind, yet i can see
Mountains, where clouds sit,
On a sunny clear day. Yet they
Disappear in misty apparitions,
Yet they remain, unseen and i
Unseeing know, and wonder not,
For they are there.
Yet, warmth sees me, then i can be snow
Warmth of sun, I cling to honing
Divine presence. Yet somewhere,
Snow lays her magic like a blanket
Cold and white. Yet someone dons
Mittens in pairs to catch
Snowflakes falling. Yet to reap
The Rewards of divinity.

Reaping the rewards of Divinity. A wonderful thought!

Our life begins and ends with this "Yet", no doubt. In between we have all those laughter and tears. Love those closing lines, our ultimate destination.

I like the way that word 'yet' is the fulcrum of your balance, Gillena.

It is always a joy to see the world in all its wonder, quite a reassuring gift in fact. I just wish more would appreciate the earth and not treat it as expendable.
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree Robin. Thanks for your appreciation.

"Yet" is profound. It makes the invisible visible. And clinging to divine presence enhances what we see in the sun as well as what we know is in the fog and snow. Beautiful.

"Love is blind, yet i can see" that is pure magic! Like also the idea of unseen yet we know they are there. A wonderful balance.

Love is blind, nothing sees clearer or deeper than loving eyes. Such wonderful contradictions...
ReplyDeleteIt’s a nice poem, but I can’t beleve you know about snow and mittens ;)))... I barely remember it, now that we spend the winter in Florida!
