LOCKDOWN - A FOLD
Who would have thought, who would have thought;
Mailman would stay at home regardless of weather,
That pretty dress in the store cannot be bought,
Without audience, waves at the beach humming,
To rhythm of pretty Corona; who would have thought,
Worldwide a shut down, to heroes thread of brilliance,
Words emit from lips muffled no pennies sought,
Eyes to smile, heads to nod, handshakes relics of past
Classrooms emptied to no one, zilch, nought
Hence the chords of bird songs expand to fit the silence
In a world, turned jailbirds, who would have thought.

  1. Who indeed? It totally took us by surprise, in ways most of us would never have thought possible. It's good that you have recorded these details.

  3. Yes it took us all completely by surprise. And we have reached the halfway mark of the year too. I like; "Hence the chords of bird songs expand to fit the silence."💘 Beautifully rendered.

  5. And who would have though that some nations would be so careless about being strict to ensure their citizens stay alive and yet others didn't care at all so long as business keep making money.
