On The 11th of November here in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as throughout the British Commonwealth . Remembrance/Memorial Day is observed. In Trinidad and Tobago wreaths are laid at a cenotaph in Memorial Park, Port of Spain. Remembering the World War I soldiers from our country

  1. Memorial Day and Veterans Day have such similar connotations, don't they? They both acknowledge members of the military. I saw a photograph of a white board that summarized the differences: Armed Services day is for those wearing the uniform, Veterans Day is for those that no longer wear the uniform, and Memorial Day is for those that never took off the uniform.

    I enjoyed your commemoration; it's important that we never forget.

  9. We share Remembrance Day. The difference is that we have the poppy, which grows wild in the fields and hedgerows of Britain, and you have the beautiful hibiscus, commonly grown in the West Indies, and, of course, the weather!.
